At Dacorum Mencap, we enable our members to develop their full potential in life through:
- Removing stigma and discrimination
- Improving the quality of life for people with learning disabilities by developing, providing and supporting activities and services for our members
- Building their confidence by offering our members a variety of tailored activities to enhance their skills
- Providing a variety of opportunities within the community to improve their independence

OUR HISTORY
How it all started
Dacorum Mencap supports people with a learning disability, their families and carers, in the Borough of Dacorum in Hertfordshire, UK. This includes the towns of Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted and Tring, plus surrounding villages. Dacorum Mencap is affiliated to Royal Mencap and was founded in 1952.
