Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) at St Mary’s Hall was well attended. Our Chair of trustees Sue Darker, shared an optimistic outlook on the charity’s progress, despite operating in a challenging climate. We celebrated some incredible fundraising milestones from earlier in the year, including our participation in Community Action Dacorum’s’ Dragons’ Apprentice Challenge. We teamed up with students from Tring School, who achieved an amazing feat by turning £100 into a staggering £4,287! Additionally, our Race Night fundraiser at the Hemel Hempstead Football Club was a success, raising £2,000.
Our activity programme has continued to engage and excite our members. Highlights from the past year included two pantomimes, a theatre outing to see calendar girls, canal boat trips, a visit to the circus, an alpaca outing, and much more.
We have also strengthened our local connections by working closely with health services and our police community support officer Becca. PC Becca regularly joins our Chatter Table and Focus groups, providing a vital and reassuring presence for our members.
We concluded the meeting by enjoying a light lunch together, and we are all looking forward to another exciting year ahead!
