We picked an array of foliage and overlayed the leaves, placing the sharp end into the damp oasis ring. Once the ring was covered, we picked out some baubles, ribbons, acorns etc and decided where to position them on the wreath. Then using some gardening wire we attached the ornaments in place.
We cut a long piece of ribbon to wrap around the top end of the wreath, to make it easy to hook over a door or post. The wreathes can last up to 2 months if regularly sprayed with water and will look great outside.
Everyone who came took home a beautiful oasis wreath with fresh foliage and ornaments which they had made whilst chatting with friends and sipping mulled wine with a mince pie! 17 people attended. The money will go towards putting on the varied activities each month for our members.
