£1k donation for learning disability charity
Dacorum Mencap has received a £1,000 donation from Amazon Hemel Hempstead. The donation will go towards purchasing a bright pink gazebo, which will help the charity, which supports people with learning disabilities, their families and carers in Dacorum Borough, to stand out at events.
Visiting the charity at Hemel’s Market Arms Tavern on 25th July 2019, Amazon Hemel site leader Shauli Ziv said: “We are thrilled to provide a donation to Dacorum Mencap. As the voice of learning disabilities, the charity plays such an important role in the community helping people reach their full potential.”
Carol Walls, of Dacorum Mencap, said: “On behalf of our team and the community that we support, I would like to say a huge thank you to Amazon and Shauli for this generous donation. We are dedicated to ensuring that adults with a learning disability are valued equally, listened to and included. It is donations like this that go such a long way in ensuring we can continue to offer our services to the community.”
